Disturbing news.  But considering this is Russia and it's leader seems to be pining for the old so called 'grandeur' days of Soviet Russia, not surprising.

 

By all outward appearances, it seems that the Russian bear only went to sleep at the collapse of the Soviet Union in '93 and didn't go away.  It definitely is standing in opposition to the US.

If Russia is still the KON, it's not surprising that the events that trigger armageddon start with the 'disturbing reports' that the KON hears and clearly has to deal with.  Especially the history Russia has with Jehovah's people.

 

One way or the other as Lance stated, this will be dealt with.  But Jehovah will make sure his people are vindicated.  Our prayers for our Russian brothers are definitely going to be needed in order to help them endure attacks on their faith.  I think this judgment is only the beginning of suppression and persecution.  Russia has even completely ignored the verdicts of the ECHR who clearly sided with our brothers.  If I remember correctly, they stated that they consider Russian law higher than the European Court.  Wonder how that's working for them.

 

Poor people.  We definitely need this over with.

I'm not sure what good the ECHR is, especially when it comes to Russia.  Time and again they have overruled Russia's court system and time and again Russia has simply ignored them and done what they have wanted.  What good is the ECHR if it can't enforce it's judgements?!!! At the least, make Russia pay consequences or penalties for refusing to comply!
