Governments suddenly being dissolved?!

I find this interesting :

 

* Ukraine has dissolved its parliament and now the French Government has dissolved. I have read over the articles and it appears these are two separate Presidents/Leaders.

   They are indeed interesting developments. However like all such developments we will just have to

wait and see of what significance they may have. Thank you though for bringing them to our attention.

When they say "dissolved its parliament"  they are not saying the government is being "dissolved" as in it no longer exists. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dissolve_parliament

 

The government continues to exist and run, but elections will be held to determine the will of the people in regards to current situations - as it seems the prime minister no longer has a majority of the support in parliament. OR in the case of France - in his own cabinet.

 

Can you imagine this in the US - there are 2 houses here and the majority (if you add both houses together) do not support the President. There would be a dissolution here and new elections.

 

However, it certainly does show the instability in the world and the mistrust of the populous in their respective governments.

It means the same thing there. The Government dissolves parliament to stop some crisis and get control of the house. They can reinstate it or call an election.

French government being dissolved is quite common, it happens with almost every president
