Thank You, Mrs. Klose

By Walter Olson

Thank you for standing up for your right, and that of other Americans, not to be coerced:

Lillian Gobitis Klose, who as a school-age member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses refused to salute the U.S. flag with her classmates, a controversial act of conscience that set off a legal tug of war in the 1930s and ’40s that ultimately bolstered the First Amendment right to religious expression, died Aug. 22 in Fayetteville, Ga. She was 90

A fight well fought and won. For eternity she will never go through any thing that brings pain, fear or sadness. Eternal happiness and joy for her now. Revelation 21:3-5.

Proverbs 27:11- Be wise, my son, and make my heart rejoice, So that I can make a reply to him that taunts me.

Oh, Musky, I did not know that you had started a thread already!!!  I did not recognize the "Minersville girl" as a description of Lillian Gobitis - I should have though.  We were both trumped, so to speak, by the brothers, who also have an article with a picture in it.  Her brother William had already died.
