Mantano Reader

I have loved using this app.

but lately is giving me some issues.

I download the KM & Watchtower in Epub was working fine now I keep getting empty pages so I can't use it .

Does anyone else have this issue?

I am not familiar with this reader, Gabe..I like the new Moon Reader Pro best until we get the highlighting and pub. update for JW Library! If the Kingdom Ministries are not included then I will view them in Moon Reader Pro..never had an issue with the pages going blank!

Try going into settings and uncheck the "epub 3" option.

Been away. I did what you suggested Musky & yes it worked. Just one more issue. I can't get  the KM to show up in the Epub its a blank page. sorry.

Make sure you download the epub version of the KM. Montano doesn't do well with some PDF files.

I used Mantano Reader for some time and I loved the way it displayed the epubs, much nicer IMO than Moon+ Reader. I also liked the way you can assign the publications to different collections: I had magazines, studies, meetings, non theocratic... But it lacked some features I needed and my emails to support were never answered. EPUB3 support (popup scriptures and footnotes) was only experimental. And then they added advertizing in the main page, even if you had the paid version, so I switched to Moon+ Reader.

 

Yesterday I had a look at Mantano again and saw they have removed the ads and have fixed some issues. EPUB3 is now much better supported and it can be highlighted normally. Mantano uses a different way for highlighting that works much better for Romanian and Spanish PDFs. I am very willing to give it another chance.

 

One thing they didn't add yet is a delete button when you are in highlight mode. How many times you try to highlight something and it selects the wrong words? That happens to me all the time, maybe my screen is low quality, but it's quite annoying to have to exit highlight mode, select the highlight, delete it, enter highlight mode again. It would be much better to be able to undo last highlight.
