We just had a case here in Wanganui where an overworked mum ... had been on multiple shifts from what I gather, thought she had dropped her toddler off to daycare, flew into work as she was late and left her toddler in the car - middle of summer ... he sadly died.

Careless people. Self importance. These people are nonchelant.

Money & greed is why they become irresponsible.

Several years ago a man left his little son adopted from Russia in his car in the morning and went to work. When he came back in the evening the boy was dead because of overheating. The man wasn't punished seriously. They said in the news that if the child was American his Dad would go to prison.

Did you scroll down and see the other one about the parents going to wine tasting and leaving children in the freezing car? No excuse.

But on a lighter note look at the one from the Netherlands, can you tell who has the grow lights blasting away??? Hmmm??

As a grandma who infrequently looked after my granddaughter, I was paranoid of this.  It happens.  In my youth, when my children were younger - I forgot one of them in the mall.

We had gone in to have some chinese food, there were about 7 of us.  Myself, husband, Mom, Brother and 3 kidlets.  We all left at the same time, or so I thought.  I get midway through the mall and I realize my son is not there.   We all split up, I went back to the food court because I had told him that if we ever got separated to stay where he was, don't wander around because I would be searching for him.

Thankfully he listened.  He was sitting at the table we had eaten at.

I can see how this happens.  I really can.
