A scripture in a mug

Recommended Posts

John 8:32 is a thought provoking one:

"...the truth will set you free."

They just might ask the question from verse 33:

"...How is it you say, "You will become free?"

Nice one, thanks ;)

Oh man! Thats a good one Musky!  Leave it to you!  I'm going the more practical route with something that can be upbuilding to you everyday you see it:

Prov. 3:5 - Trust in Jehovah with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding.

Don't live for the moment - live for the future! :D

Ive always found Proverbs 27:14 gives people a good chuckle:

"When someone blesses his fellow man with a loud voice early in the morning,It will be counted as a curse to him."

But I think Matthew 18:22 would be a good conversation starter, because most worldy people don't know the scripture and without context it makes you wonder what it means:

"Jesus said to him: “I say to you, not up to seven times, but up to 77 times"

They'll ask just so it stops running around in their head.

Doesn't that mean you'll have to let other people drink from your cup?!!

Thanks for all the suggestions... I guess I'll go for a mix of several texts on one side but putting one of my favorites alone on the other

Is 40:26

"Lift up your eyes to heaven and see.Who has created these things? It is the One who brings out their army by number; He calls them all by name. Because of his vast dynamic energy and his awe-inspiring power,Not one of them is missing.
