That article in there about homosexuality, and the video about one man and one woman, both being released about the same time, cannot be a coincidence!

I feel like the video was for children, and the article for adults, personally, at the same time.

Was there something in that homosexuality article that was different from what we've read before? Gays and lesbians have always claimed that they were "born that way," as if they were hard-wired, and they can do nothing about it. But it has been said before in our publications that "homosexuals are not born that way, but their homosexual behavior is learned" ('Your Youth' book, page 39, ¶10).

 

However, after mentioning that claim, this article just says "The Bible does not comment on the biology of homosexuality, although it acknowledges that some human traits are deeply ingrained." (page 8)

 

Do you understand this as saying that gays and lesbians may have indeed been born like that?

I believe this is a "non-committal" stance that allows for this interpretation.  Some insist that alcoholism is genetically based.  Even if that is true, to be baptized you would have to refrain from intoxication.  It has been said that once a person is an alcoholic, he or she will always be one.  They must learn to abstain.  The scripture cited refers to these as "deeply ingrained" traits.

Being impatient can not be also linked in genes, that book really is my basis
