JWTalk - Jehovah's Witnesses Online Community

Thought I'd start a new random info thread. Many on this forum are writers and authors, myself included. I recently got an inquiry from a publishing house to share a fave quote. I didn't respond, since I have many favorite quotes.  Anywho, here is one of my top choices for quotes in secular literature:

"Mad people, beautiful people, hurt people, sick people, broke people, in pieces people, I love, I love" ......Saroyan

p.s  According to  self defined Jehovah's Witness, Mickey Spillane -" Writers write, authors sell."  Since  I have been offered a typical agent's contract, I can choose either definition.

Uh, no thanks. I refer to myself as "one of Jehovah's Witnesses." It's not what we do; it's who we are.

What difficult-to categorize thoughts are you entertaining?

Kejedo, it reminds me of 'shake it off', I remember an artist who do it for her haters and this sick world. Later, March 2016 states "shake off such remnance" which normally pertains to grieving the spirit. How can we deal of the grieving of spirit, back then, I "shake it off, shake it off". Now, glory and praises goes to Jehovah everytime I enjoy the journey. :)

All glory and praises goes to Jehovah :)

How can one have a favourite quote when there's been so many good ones circulate?

I rather like the thought expressed in A Summer Place:

We have the beauty and strength of love on our sides and, if we can keep our sense of humour too, these are the weapons of the Angels.

Sometimes one feels that a whole book or a whole movie was produced simply to get a single line across... this was one of them.

Getting ready for some upcoming lessons with JW homeschoolers. What is the square root of all evil?

Pie.

Some say that Pie are squared but we know that pies are round. That's just evil...
