Are there new features in the app update?

What is the new Version and Build number?

This is what I have

I have four Windows 11 devices.  I updated 2 of them with a "manual update" downloaded from JW.ORG.  When these updated they provided the new logo, update number 2602 and the build number 14074.  The other 2 devices were updated when the app said it was available.  These devices provided the new logo, update number 2602 and build number 13445.

I customized all of them by changing the icon back to the old version.

I still don't know why the build numbers are different and I guess it doesn't matter...

Interesting. Mine has update 2602 and build 13445 but the logo didn't change.

The same with my update however once I powered down and powered it back up the icon changed and the only way for me to tel which is which is by opening the app and whatever icon appears in the top left corner will tell you which version you run.

I'm not an expert on this, but it appears that to get that build 14074, you need a fresh reinstall of WTLib from jw.org. That means uninstalling your present version of WTLib and reinstalling from scratch.

If you use the Help/Check For Updates to update, you only get the most recent catalog, not including a program update. Maybe the latter is what you have been doing.

How did you go about changing the icon? Just curious. Personally, I prefer the old icon, and that's what I have. But in case I "accidentally" get a new version with the new icon, I want to be able to change the icon back.

Windows allows you to 'right-click' on an icon and the selection box will include a choice to "change the icon".  Sometimes it is in the box toward the bottom and sometimes you have to choose "customize" at the top right side and then select "change the icon".  Either way, once chosen the program gives you pre-selected choices.  At he top of the selection box is 'browse'.  It will try to find other icons.  I put all of my choices in a folder on my desktop labeled "Icons".  Go to that location (wherever you put the old icon and choose it.  Then say OK and then select 'apply' and it should change.  In the old days it had to be a file with an ".ico" file type.  I have seen a few work with a ".png' file expression.

The Icon I use is below.

wtl icon.ico
