Debates are being had about having soldiers in space to defend space satellites as well as talks in regards to defending us from potential "extraterrestrial threats". I imagine these forces being the first to try and fight Christ and his army when they arrive.

When I think of space projects, space cities, rockets, stations etc. I always think of Amos 9:2; "If they dig down into the Grave, From there my hand will take them; And if they go up to the heavens, From there I will bring them down."

Oooh a real Starfleet Command!

Phillipians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste, whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well-spoken-of, whatever things are virtuous, and whatever things are praiseworthy, continue considering these things.

Planetary protection officer wanted, generous salary

Nasa is seeking a new "planetary protection officer" tasked with defending the earth from alien life.

More specifically, the job's main concern is avoiding "biological contamination in human and robotic space exploration."

That applies both ways - to spacecraft returning to Earth and to the risk of human contamination of other planets.

Along with its inspiring job title, the position comes with a hefty annual salary range of $124,406 - $187,000.

So... they have money to spend for a pointless job of making sure we protected from aliens, of which none have ever been made contact with, but there is not enough money to put towards medical care and starving people. Typical of this system.
