What's the silliest thing you've done recently?

Recommended Posts

I'm a bit clumsy in nature. I used to get embarrassed by it, but I've learned to see the humor in it.

I recently bit my finger while eating an english muffin. Today at my Dr's office I spilled hot coffee in my lap. While lying down I frequently drop my phone on my face.

What's the silliest thing you've done or witnessed recently?

I saw a kite in Family Dollar.

It was a Macaw and the label said its wings actually flap when you fly it.

Of course, I just had to get one.^_^

The one on amazon.com costs twenty bucks more than the one I got from Family Dollar for only five bucks.

The very next nice, breezy day that came along, I flew the kite.

I spent an hour and a half laughing myself silly, because the wings really do flap up and down while you're flying it. 5980f89b697f1_LaughChuckle2.gif.5282206b1645c715b5420ed71ed27ee4.gif

Update:

The stupidest thing I've done recently, is to post an amazon.com url without

realizing it was automatically signed in to my personal account.59810fea353df_Embarassedhideface.gif.cdffd4c3f3e720b8a8743907219915e6.gif

One of the moderators was kind enough to fix the problem, because I didn't

realize it until the time limit to edit your post had expired. duh.gif.c52b082f9e74e062d678d36e33bcf249.gif

How did you do that Ross? So the rest of us know not to do the same thing in the future?

Well, first, you need to be suffering from a little heat exhaustion, from haying in high heat and humidity.  Then, you don't pay attention to the Amazon site that shows up when you Google "bird kites with flapping wings".  Then you rush through the posting process because you have to get right back on the tractor.  Finally, you have to be on a computer that keeps you automatically signed in to a website...which you do because you have a problem remembering all the specific passwords...the many, many, many passwords.  Too taxing on the OLD grey matter.:D

In short, it was the perfect storm for an imperfect, and over-heated, person--moi.^_^

I often do silly things, but the silliest thing I´ve ever done (about 20 years ago - but unforgetable!!!) was removing snow and ice from a car which I thought was mine, but it was my neighbour´s car!

At that time I was still living with my parents and I had no certain parking lot for my car. Yet I usually made it to park it more or less at the same location every day. One day in winter I stepped out of the house veeeeeeeery tired and by habit, with my eyes half closed, walked to the place I thought I had parked the day before. The car was hidden under an enormous mass of snow. I just removed a little bit of it and saw a grey colour - so for me it was clear that this is my grey Corolla. I spent half an hour working really hard until all the snow and the ice on the windows was removed - and then wondered why I couldn´t open the car  Then, suddenly, it began to dawn on me - I looked at the number plate and could have screamed for my own stupidity!!!

:wall::wall::wall:

Now after 20 years I wonder what my neighbour´s face might have looked like when he saw all the cars in the street being covered by snow - except from his one..?!?

Chrissy

  • 2 weeks later...
I bite my tongue or sometimes the inner sides of my mouth while chewing. Very Painful.

I've had the having since a small child to bite the inside of my cheeks.

It started as anxiety.. and now a very bad habit. I hate it. I've tried to stop for years but when finally it gets clear.... I wake up with horrible sores.... I do it in my sleep.as well.

Mon dieu! Mine only happens when i have got my mouth full with soft mushy bread. Now i try to chew it quite slowly to avoid too much contact with the sides of my mouth. It happens way less than before but i hate it when it happens.
