Ohio school district halts prayers before athletic events

BELOIT, Ohio -- A Mahoning County school district temporarily called a stop to prayers before sporting events after it was challenged by a national group that said it had received complaints.

West Branch Schools Superintendent Tim Saxton posted a letter on the district's Facebook page saying prayers will no longer be allowed before athletic events "until the situation is resolved."

According to the Review, the Freedom From Religion Foundation contacted the school district on Jan. 18 and said it had received complaints from two "concerned citizens" about the prayers.

Phillipians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste, whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well-spoken-of, whatever things are virtuous, and whatever things are praiseworthy, continue considering these things.

Freedom FROM Religion.

The Harlot's seat continues its prophetic slip.:D

That group has been around for a while. They seem to get all bent out of shape whenever religion or belief in God is mentioned by someone, or especially if some government gives a grant to some religious group, and sue the individuals responsible. Oftentimes they win in court.

Next they will likely start demanding that all people should be free from religion and start suing anyone who believes in God. Will they have something to do with Gog of Magog's attack on false religion? Time will tell.

Prayers by athletes before games demeans prayer itself. It makes God into a genie in a bottle.

Nevertheless, as pointed out, it does show how the once all powerful Harlot is gradually being brought low. We’re heading in the right direction.
