It's funny how people manipulate the information. Hundreds of religious leaders are attending a convention. Suddenly one of them interrupts the speaker and begins shouting some Bible verses he thinks the speaker is not applying. He's escorted outside. Then a second leader does the same thing and is made to leave too.

Of course, they were kicked out because they were defending the Bible. No, guys, you were not thrown out for speaking the Bible, but for interrupting a speaker with shouts. That's very bad manners. The same would have happened if you had shouted anything else. And the same would happen in any other convention of any kind.

It's like that apostate idiot who disrupted one of our conventions last year going up to the platform and shouting nonsense on the mic. When he was escorted outside by the police he complained he hadn't been allowed freedom of speech. No, moron, it's you who are not respecting those thousands of people who don't want to hear your rubbish. You have freedom of speech to organize your own convention and say whatever idiocies you wish there, but not to disrupt someone else speaking.

Bro. Carlos, how did this opposer manage to get to the podium and shout his nonsense?  I'm curious because, for many years now, security measures have been in place at our annual conventions to prevent disruptions such as these from happening.  Please note in an older post of something I witnessed years ago where the brothers were vigilant (during the closing prayer) and were able to catch this man before he headed to the microphone.

In light of the times we live in, it makes sense that these measures should be implemented worldwide.

I have no idea. I was not there. :)

I only read the report from some member here who attended his convention in the UK and witnessed this. That person got on the stage and began shouting nonsense. Now that I think of it, it must not have been with the mic, since then the brothers at the sound desk could easily mute him. Maybe he was using a megaphone or simply shouting. The friends began singing one of our songs and that stifled his drivel for the few minutes until the police came and hauled him out.

It would be quite difficult for someone to do that in our convention in Madrid, but if I think of the convention I attended last August in Bucharest, in a public venue with free entrance and direct access to the stage, it would be quite easy.

He was an individual who a few years ago managed for a time to be in disguise as an attendant at an assembly. He was near the front of the London Excel and started shouting his nonsense. The brothers and the excel security escorted him slowly to the exits and then he continued shouting outside for a bit.

The brothers and sister all spontaneously started clapping until he was gone out of the main arena so it was only those directly near to him who heard all his rubbish. He for a while had court order to not go anywhere near our Kingdom Halls and assemblies or risk going to jail. As far as I know he has been quiet for a while now. He would be stupid to do anything as he has been warned by the authorities and we are prepared to just phone the police if he rocks up anywhere shouting his nonsense.

Micah 4:5 ......"we, for our part, shall walk in the name of Jehovah our God to time indefinite, even forever."

John 15:13 "No one has love greater than this, that someone should surrender his life in behalf of his friends."

In the US the 'freedom of speech' argument only applies to the government trying to stop speech, it has nothing to do with one person saying something to another person.

If someone is spouting off nonsense, I have the freedom to walk away. Same as at the doors we knock on, the owner can shut it at any time,  he is not obligated to listen to us because we have freedom of speech.

Your right it didn’t happen like that. He didn’t make it onto the stage and the security measures worked.

Seems like a bit of religious infighting as well.....

Sessions' aggressive pursuit of some parts of Trump's agenda has created discord within the United Methodist Church, of which Sessions is a member and for which he has long taught Sunday school classes.

In June, about 640 United Methodist clergy and church members brought church law charges against Sessions over the Trump administration's "zero tolerance" policies on immigration, accusing him of "dissemination of doctrines contrary to the standards of doctrine of the United Methodist Church."

Yes, some leaders support certain political option while others support a different one. That creates division among them.

Keeping the congregation united is one of the reasons the Slave mentions why we should be completely neutral on political issues.
