A summit between US President Donald Trump and the North Korean leader Kim Jong-un ended with no agreement after the US refused North Korean demands for sanctions relief, President Trump said.

"It was about the sanctions," he said at a news conference. "They wanted the sanctions lifted in their entirety and we couldn't do that."

The pair had been expected to announce progress on denuclearisation.

"Sometimes you have to walk and this was one of those times," Mr Trump said.

Speaking at the news conference in Hanoi, Mr Trump said no plans had been made for a third summit.

So basically nothing happened.

Last time, nothing also happened but they didn't admit it immediately.

This time nothing happened and the admit it from the get-go

Meditating on the Bible is the best way to know Jehovah.

Meditating on his Creation, the Universe, is the 2nd best way.🌴🌎

Studying Physics is the best way to learn about his Creation.🤓

I recon they will meet again, Kim did not get what he wanted - back to drawing board ...sanctions hurt North Korea very much ...so they will be "forced" to negotiate again.

In fact , there will probably be more effort made of enforcing the sanctions, to make a point.

There have been reports of the sanctions 'leaking' up till this summit.
