The storm was part of a ‘bomb cyclone’ system that wreaked havoc in the Great Plains before aiming for the Midwest.

It began its path north across lower Lake Michigan, initially landing in Southwest Michigan before raging across the bottom half of the Lower Peninsula. Winds as fast as 67 mph were reported in South Haven, 60 mph in Fowlerville, 56 mph in Calhoun County and 46 mph in Jackson.

The strength of the tornado will be ranked after the National Weather Service examines the extents of the storm’s damage on Friday.

Just a bit from the news article. ^^^^^^^

Some very crazy weather we’re having.

We had one touch down in the Canton Ohio area just a couple days ago also.

Spring is in the air :D

We were 4 miles away from the touchdown at a winery.  We just finished eating pizza and were playing games.  We heard the howl of the wind that sounded like a tornado.  Rain going sideways.  Then the power went out.

It was sn EF-0. Touched down 4 miles away.

While EF-0 is the lowest rated tornado there is as far as wind speed, minor damage was still reported in the area. The NWS says most of this damage involved broken and uprooted trees, but there was also some minor structural damage to a few homes.
