Anyone Watch Anime?

I used to watch more anime. Now I don't really keep up to date... less time and more tropes in the shows like reincarnation. Generally sports animes are a great watch though - I really enjoyed Haikyuu and watched the latest movie on the plane

Do you like Inazuma Eleven

Yes!! I owned the games on 3DS. I had it on my watch list but haven't watched the anime. Great suggestion though. Slam Dunk was also a staple on TV growing up.

I HATE isekais (despite one of my starter anime being one (InuYasha)) as well as the RPGesque genre, o guess because they are kinda boring and overly done. (Ignore spoiler tag eas gonna use it to talk about something but decided against it)

Well I used to watch Sailor Moon when I was a kid/teenager and later on I watched Ghost in Shell as an adult... I even have the music for it from another Sister ....liked the music better than the show actually....most of the anime I had been trying to watch I started to really examine before watching it I found had elements of things I didn't want to expose myself to...the violence 😭 the sexual stuff, 😬and the slick one was the spiritistic stuff😠 which I would miss until I really paid attention to it...(I have /had a bad  tendency to gloss over things when I like a base storyline) 😞😞. Still working on that tendency now...I also now avoid the mangas as well.

Yeah sorry edited it for that reason.

Ah yes, this is another starter for (Imma just say that Sailor Moon, InuYasha, and Yu Yu Hakusho were my main animes i watched when i first started learning about anime. Im excluding pokemon because i played more than watch (Fun fact, the creators of SM and YYH are actually married in real life))

Anyways i can tell growing up like me you probably watched the dubbed version of sailor moon because there was so much changed from the original (mostly genders and relationships), (i'll go into more detail in a spoiler because im sure people dont wanna read that stuff)

Spoiler

like the two main villians in the first season were in a homosexual relationship, they changed zoisite into a girl to make their relationship pass american censorship. They also changed sailor uranus and neptune into cousins to hide their relationship as lesbians. They had to skip the whole last season (stars) because the new sailor scouts actually changed genders when they transform

One anime i liked growing up was Cardcaptors. I founf some clow cards at KB toys one day and asked my grandma for them, she got mad and said no because they were demonic. As i got older i realized the cards were based off tarot cards🥴

I watch anime from time to time (mostly Detective Conan but once youve already watched over 1000 episodes and 20+ movies you kinda gotta keep going) most of the new stuff i dont care too much for. I did watch Deco Yurei a few months ago and its pretty crazy seeing the parallel of the real world in that anime. Other than that, the *newest* anime ive seen was Bleach but that was back in the 2010s...

I used to be a huge Detective Conan fan

I stopped following it because the quality of the stories took an enourmous nosedive these last 15 years

I read the manga on the subway everyday when I used to commute. Still waiting to see what's going to happen to Conan and the organization...

Also this is not really anime, but if you like Detective Conan you would love Liar Game! It's my favorite manga series. There's no anime adaptation but there's live action for it. I discovered it when they featured the movie on a plane ride.

Yeah it was after a while looking online I found out about the changes ...needless to say I felt stupid about watching the show....sigh....I honestly given up looking for something that would pass...
