So if they're willing to now arrest marines, something they don't like to do. What's keeping religion safe?

The way people think one would think that Marines are the greatest and do no wrong.

Exactly! People idolize the Marines. The government constantly let's military get away with anything unless the PR is too heavy and comes back on them. This thing was barely known. So seems sudden and shocking. And if they're now doing this.

I do not get the connection between wrongdoers that happen to be marines and religion. Marines have no privilege status that I am aware of.

the bond that ties these two entities together?
