Teach Siri how to use JW.org

Recommended Posts

If you're tech savvy, you can create bookmarks on your phone that instantly take you to such parts of the websites such as:
- display the next dates for your circuit's assemblies
- open today's Daily Text on WOL
(possibilities are nearly endless here!)

Once you do that, you can add those bookmarks to "Siri shortcuts."

For example, when I ask siri "when is the next circuit assembly?"  she immediately opens apps.jw.org to the page for my circuit / circuit part.  Here's a video showing it in action: https://t.me/brandon_public/22

At a recent Pioneer Service School one of the instructors discovered that he shouldn't say Assyrian while Siri was listening... :facepalmpo2::lol1:

Yesterday Alexa was pulsing away as she does when something has been delivered, and instead of saying politely, 'play notifications',  I asked, 'Alexa, what do you want?' and she answered,  'a cheeseburger and a side of fries' 😊

One small crack doesn't mean you are broken; it means that you were put to the test and didn't fall apart..

Hi Brandon! LOL what if we're not tech savvy?

The difference between try and triumph is that little "umph"

You have to tell Siri in settings to do it.

check out instructions here:

Just an update that iOS 13 has mucked up Siri shortcuts a bit (thanks apple...)

When you update, all your Siri shortcuts get imported into the "Shortcuts" app, and then sets strict defaults that disable things temporarily. I had to open the shortcuts app and try running the shortcuts, each one by one, while granting Siri access to safari and... anyway it works again for me but it was super annoying.
