Britons visitors to Sydney hailed as ‘heroes’ after restraining man accused of Sydney knife attack.

 

Two Britons have helped restrain man accused of a stabbing attack in broad daylight in the centre of Sydney.

 

Police and ambulances responded to reports of an armed man at around 2pm in heart of the city’s business district. Police said the man allegedly stabbed a woman in the back and and “attempted to stab multiple people”.

 It’s huge news here Richard. People see what happens in America and Europe, and wondered how long until it reached here. No one is untouched by the crazy murderers regardless of their agenda. This man had escaped from a mental institution and had a history of mental illness, so not terror related. People are going to ask why is this happening. We need to give them the answer.

 

I know I had my heart racing for a bit because my sister works in the city, and I was worried she may have been caught up in this when she didn’t return my text.  (She’s fine). But no details yet on the two victims, other that they were female and in the wrong place at the wrong time.

My first thought was, thank goodness he didnt have a gun. Death toll could have been much higher.

"Detectives from the Homicide Squad have since established a Strike Force to investigate the incident, which left a 24-year-old woman dead and a 41-year-old woman in hospital with a stab wound to her shoulder.

Police revealed on Wednesday that the inquiries will also be supported by the Terrorism Investigation Squad."

I read it, supposing Witnesses were involved. I could not see that to be a fact. Then, I wondered why it was posted. (Profanity and all). Now I know. What a sad state of affairs. Here, in this country, (USA) it’s almost daily news, and something I try not to give too much thought to. Too much ugliness. 

One time we had three murder trials going on at once. At the county seat. And we are pretty rural, comparatively. 

Violence was one of the reasons Jehovah caused the flood. As I hear and see the news, I know there is way more of this stuff out there that the culprit has not been caught. It turns into, “cold cases”. Or just, someone missing

Well, Jehovah knows the full story of ALL of them. Blood guilt will be avenged. 

A fresh start for humankind. Thanks to our dear Father. .

My sincere apologies for the Link.

I thought the link was from a reputable source. (The paper version was ok when I used to read it.) It appears the online version has less restrictions.

I did not read far enough in. I just used it to verify what I just saw on the TV while having breakfast.

It is rare for this behaviour in Australia. The last time there was a high profile rampage in Sydney was 2014. Hence I posted the item.
@Tortuga, I do not think anyone would take offence if you deleted the link, or wiped the whole post.

I have to admit I do not understand why its emotional or any way divisive among jehovahs people. But regardless I dont believe this thread was meant to be about gun control.
Having said that, when faced with violence so close to home... (my son had crossed that street seconds earlier)
I dont think it's wrong to say thank goodness it's harder to get guys here in Au, or he could have been shot from behind.

I find it funny that to us in Australia, a stabbing or bashing in the streets is major news but would be doubtful to hear if it in the states.
Got to admit, one reason I would never travel there is I would not feel safe.

We can all only hope that Jehovah soon puts an end to all guns, and any weapon for that matter. We need jehovahs government. Then only people who would never hurt another because of love will be on the earth.

Hope I am there to see it.
