For all night he anxiety over climate change science has chimes in with an answer. Reduce the population.  But who decides who gets to be sterilized or culled?  I for one am glad that that decision is being made on a more informed level. Zephaniah 1:18.

Heres the easy answer:

90% of the world's population lives ABOVE the equator - there's this big big Island or reallly small continent - whichever way you perceive it - BELOW the equator, with lots and lots and lots of spare land ... hehe ... gives our brothers and sisters lots more work to do if everyone moved in there.

More than 11,000 scientists sign up to declare climate emergency

This is just a lie .. I know that leaders don't really care about what's happening on earth.

These aren’t the leaders.

These are scientists, and they might well be honestly worried about where the politicians are taking this world.

Excerpt from link:
"The scientists make specific calls for policymakers to quickly implement systemic change to energy, food, and economic policies. But they go one step further, into the politically fraught territory of population control. It “must be stabilized—and, ideally, gradually reduced—within a framework that ensures social integrity,” they write."  [Bold emphasis mine.]

Wondering if any scientists within the Group who came up with that theory/conclusion would like to be the first to try his/their own hypothesis?

I’m certain they can think no of an annoying neighbor or weird relative to nominate. I notice the phrase “ social integrity “ in the paragraph. So those who do not contribute meaningfully to society are the ones they would sterilize or cull.

Yes, agreed, to some extent but "social integrity" could be considered mysterious and vague depending on the scientist defining the term.  Term/statement can also infer to those without "good looks and talent."  The comment by group of scientists in the article just seems a bit morbid.

On a separate note, in his book "Ends of Human Life" by Ezekiel Emanuel (once a medical advisor to a U.S. president), makes points why those "not sapient" should be allowed to die.  Who really is to say who is sapient and whose is not?    Dr. Emanuel, who also lectures on science policy, in his book went further by promoting the idea that age 75 should be the cutoff.  Wondering how he would really feel at age 75; he's now 62.  My JW father is 81 and his two sisters, 83 (also JW) and 85, remain in fairly good health and enjoying life.

Even Environmentalists, "an important need of the hour" they say, are on the the population control bandwagon all in the name of climate change and saving the planet.  All this population control rhetoric just drives some of us batty.

Just you wait, pockets of extremists and Neo Nazis are going to rise up claiming "Hitler was right" and to "exterminate" people to "save the planet".

Those people never stopped. It’s the globalist socialists types that will have influence in actually applying such an idea. Probably applying the Chinese model.
