I find I'm getting rather consumed with this COVID-19 and need to balance things out a bit. 

 

I'm a huge nature lover and amateur photographer. I live an hour out of a big city & in a small town. Often times instead of taking the main highway, I opt for the back roads. I love to stop and take photos. I doubt I'm alone in this. Maybe we can share some of our photography? 

 

First two photos are just taken down some back roads. The grizzly bear photo is taken in the Yukon (Otter falls). My husband and I drove 70km down this desolate road. It was incredible. You felt like you had to be at the end of the earth.

My wife would have loved to see that bear! Well, she would have probably died because she would have tried to stroke it!

lol - I have a bear obsession. I have many more pictures of them. Although I have to say... I have a very healthy fear.  My husband was panning for gold and I was watching for bear, rifle in hand. I don't know what I would have done if one ever came out. I probably would have tossed the gun and ran. All the wrong things.

I started to develop a really keen eye for spotting bear. We'd zip around on the highway and go back and take photos. That big grizzly that I took a photo of head on... He was massive. He was eating along the side of the road in Jasper National Park. I was trying to find some other photos I had... there were several people outside of their vehicles, with their big cameras, taking photos of him. One woman actually got out of her vehicle and locked the door, hunkered down and started to take photos. It was just so ridiculous. After that I lost my interest in the bear and started to take photos of the crazy people - haha

 

Fourth picture is actually a black bear (cinnamon).

 

Also... I have a thing for roads 😄
