I am thinking of buying a gift to a child, without going into details why, do you know the game? 

Do you recommend it to 12 year kid? 

Any thoughts appreciated.

About the only thing objectionable is that the game takes note of your birthday and the characters will throw you a party if you log on that day. There are also themed events throughout the year that are based around holidays but can be totally ignored. In other words, you don't have to participate in any of the events if you don't want to.

I know it. It's not for me, I couldn't get into the older titles, but it's among the better options of games for kids or adults with friends to co-op with... It's the sort of game I wish I had a wife to play with. It's pretty much endless, without established goals aside from getting out of debt and collecting stuff. A sandbox for building, creating, designing. It's designed to be played slowly over a long period of time and just let things change and happen at a relaxed pace. As with any game, parents should discuss or even play it with the child. It's mostly just the standard things like birthdays, holidays, lbgtq+.

I play the game. Other than birthdays the only other thing is a ghost in it. Well, sorta. It's name is wisp (will-o-wisp derivative maybe?) and it's scared of ghosts. You talk to it and it gets scared and splits into 'spirit' pieces you have to go catch  and give back to it for a reward (clothes, furniture, diy).

 

Up to you. One could simply never talk to wisp.

There's also wishing on shooting stars for star fragments the next day.

i Thought is site was free of Animal Crossing when all social site are always talking about.

We have been playing this game together with a few other brothers and sisters in our circuit. Trying to collect different items in the game to progress the story. The game is based on real time so they can’t just sit there and play all day. I mean you can but the game will get boring. It was created to be played though the next 3 years. So it’s a well spent purchase if your expecting to get some bang for your buck.  😂

 

if not you can always grow flowers and dress us for service.
