Favorite Things About Camping

Without children, bliss. With children... I'm nervous.

 

I recall one camping trip where my husband and I slept on one side of the tent, while my children 16, 12 and 11 slept on the other side. We rolled into camp at a balmy -4C, set up tent by a beautiful river/waterfall only to discover that it created a cool breeze to go with it and more. I got my first night of sleep 4 days later after we left, and settled into Porteau Cove, BC and the next night the Skaha which had temps in the 4C range.

The best of camping for me is the scenery & the fishing.

I've never hunted.  I'd like to learn how though, to try it at least once in the sense of actually bagging something.  We have public land where I live.  Not a great choice but I'd try it.  I have an older son who would join me and we both enjoy cooking, so I think it would be cool.
