Studies show or suggest that humans don't age at a consistent linear rate. They find that we age the most at two different points in life. The first accelerated aging process happens at age 45. Then we age normally again for about the next 15 years, and the second accelerated aging process happens in our early 60's.

 

After that, depending on what we do, or don't do, to try to stay healthy and take care of ourselves, barring hereditary diseases or conditions, we can either lengthen our lifespan or shorten it. Some make it to 70 and others to 80 and beyond. Dick Van Dyke just turned 100 years old today. Your mileage may vary. 😉

Just learned how a Russian man, a mason, saved several of his neighbors in 1860's because of his knowledge of building a Pech, pronounced pech ka. A masonry wood stove built with 8 inch bricks. You cooked in it and slept on it. I love it, it's amazing.
