45 years ago . . .

Well, well, well. .  .  .  45 years ago ,  my mother and I were baptized at the Circuit Assembly.  I was 17, Mom was 42.

 

Little did I know who was in the audience.  (Drum roll somebody .  .  .)

She wasn't a sister juuust yet. That would happen 4 months later.

In fact, this assembly (in the dead of winter, thank you) was her first !

My very first Assembly and I got to watch Doug and his Mom get 'dunked'.

45 years ago.....   was two years after my baptism on April 1, 1973    I was 22 years old at that time.     In 1975 my oldest child was born and I am married a pioneer sister.  

I remember several who were hinting at 1975 as the time when this old system was going down  even though the faithful slave never hinted toward that.  Of course , I was not and am not serving Jehovah for a particular date in mind.     Congrats to you and your mom on your baptismal anniversary!

45 years ago is special to both me and my husband, as we were both baptized the same day,  same convention (Sam Houston Coliseum, Houston).  Keep in mind, I was 10 and he was 14, but it was a nice bonding moment when we first started seeing each other
