War is a card game where two or more players deal a standard deck of cards evenly among themselves, placing them face down in personal stacks and take turns flipping their top card and the highest card wins all the played cards, which are then placed at the bottom of their own stack and If two or more cards of the same rank are played, a "war" ensues, where tied players place three cards face down and then one face-up card, with the highest face-up card winning all the accumulated cards from the round with the game continuing until one player collects all the cards.
