People can be so funny sometimes, So I haven't tried needing anyone ( smiling) won't needing, lead to Heartbreaks? But I enjoy feeling needed ...( laughing) is that selfishness or self-defense?

Selfish is a person who fulfills only their own wants where selfless people fulfil their needs through fulfilling the needs of others
