Does anyone feel bad during night but very good during morning?

Recommended Posts

This is probably my physical health issue and not mental, emotional issue , but over the past several years, I've found out that I feel quite bad (Bad is not quite accurate here, though. I feel more like.. crazy? or odd?? I feel weird)

during night (especially from 9-12) but feel very, very nice and happy when I wake up in the morning.

I start to feel this way from around... 4,5.. and it gets real at around 8 or so.

I also feel quite nervous, for no reason at all, feel like this world is ending. (I know it's ending, though, lol)

This isn't really a serious issue for me, though.  I didn't feel the need to post it in the consult section, therefore.

Just wanted to know if anyone has similar experiences.

i did have a similar experience many years ago following an extremely bad time in my life.   around four in the afternoon every single day,,,when i percieved evening coming,,,i would get very anxious and sad....there was nothing i could do to stop that feeling but by morning i was ok.  i think it was an anxiety about darkness coming that i felt.  this lasted many years and finally stopped on its own.  i think it is a form of depression.

Are you drinking enough water during the day?

I have exactly the same , is there anything to do to avoid this ?

If it is S.A.D.-related, i’d highly recommend a good therapy lamp. (or if money is an issue, then even a cheap therapy lamp!)

Mine was $50 CAD I think a couple years ago on Amazon. The bulb has never burned out.

edit: apparently it was a little over 3 years now. this is it: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00K08ZDBI  and it delivers 10000 lux which is apparently an actual scientific unit of measure. Also, it's super creepy that amazon has my order history going back almost two decades.

I used to feel that way ... I started feeling bad in the evening and it lasted all night ... I felt much better when the morning came

The feeling went away when I quit working the night shift ...

... of course, now I feel bad during the day :(

It's very common with people suffering any kind of neurosis. It's caused by fatique and enviromental lighting which affect moods.

Some people also get morning anxiety because of the chemical that wakes a person is the same chemical that releases during anxiety and panic, but at a lesser potency, but with a disorder, people become sensitised to the chemical as their body is always on alert or easily triggered, but eating helps as it helps rebalance the body's chemicals.
