Cyclones are part of life up in the north of Australia in the tropics.  You may know them as typhoons or hurricanes.  But they are cyclones to us.  This weekend a cyclone is bearing down on the mid-north coast (a lot further south than usual) and another cyclone has formed nearby which will follow it the next day.  There is even a possibility of the "Fujiwhara Effect" happening - where they basically join up.  This cyclone is unusual because it's so far south.  I live in Perth, and it's already quite windy here and the sky today was really weird stormy cloudy weather.

The North is expected to have torrential rain as expected of a cyclone, but the floods from last month have made the area super saturated.  All people who don't have to be there are being asked to leave to safer ground, down south.
