U.S. bishops vote to draft Communion statement that may rebuke Biden for abortion views

(Reuters) -A divided conference of U.S. Roman Catholic bishops announced on Friday that they had voted to draft a statement on Holy Communion that may admonish Catholic politicians, including President Joe Biden, for supporting abortion rights.

 

Will President Biden be barred from taking communion as a religious politician?

 

Wonder how this will affect his relationship with his church.

Biden was asked about it and he said it was a private matter, and he didn't think it would happen.

 

Interestingly, other Catholic politicians have a different response.  Democratic Representative Ted Lieu "went on a rant against the Catholic church calling U.S. bishops 'hypocrites' and 'nakedly partisan' for seeking to update Communion guidance that could rebuke politicians like President Biden and Speaker Nancy Pelosi for supporting abortion policies."

"Next time I go to church, I dare you to deny me Communion,"  Lieu tweeted.

He has his church for as long as it serves his purpose. And the church needs him. They are in an adulterous marriage, remember? She is a prostitute, and she is “Babylon the Great, the mother of the prostitutes and of the disgusting things of the earth.” (Re 17:5)

They really didn't want that Catholic University run by nuns to permit his town hall meeting, but I see it went ahead as planned.

 

I remember doing a search for a poll on Catholics and how many think abortion was ok. It showed that they are split 50/50 just like the clay and the iron, eh.

That's a tragedy I can't wrap my head around. Man's inhumanity to man. The evil done to mankind supersedes anything human, its demonic. A local brother said they're having atrocities in the Sudan, terrorists are taking babies from their mothers arms, throwing them in the air and shooting them. 😳 I'm afraid to look that one up, I don't want to know any more.

This is the group that didn't want President Biden to get communion. And he is the Archbishop over them.

 

Also, they are extremely "conservative", meaning they think homosexuality is wrong too; but here's their main Bishop. Jesus called the religious leaders of his day "hypocrites". It seems this hasn't changed.
