" Do not put your trust in princes..."

They have no ability to rescue our dying planet.

I listened to some of the speeches this afternoon...complete whitewash but it was interesting that the President said this was "a moment of truth for the planet"

How true are Paul's words to Timothy that in our day ...they are "not open to any agreement"

Some minds are like concrete ...all mixed up and permanently set! 😁

Yes, right after that he said "Is my private jet warmed up?"     :drink:

The best the media can say is 'It could have been worse  .   .'    Just a reminder this was the 26th climate summit by these people!

Therein lies the  problem, no cooperation among Nations. Some countries are willing to virtually destroy or greatly weaken their economies by eliminating coal and oil, however at the same time, other big nations like China do very little. In fact "China is the world's top emitter, producing more than 25% of the world's annual greenhouse gas emissions, which contribute to climate change."

It only works if everyone cooperates. If there are 10 smokers in a room, and only 5 or even 8  reduce their smoking....you still have a toxic room. Only Jehovah can solve that problem.

From the perspective of a worldly person....I can't understand why they are so panicked about climate change. I understand negative consequences, but if I understand it correctly, it’s not like they're waiting for a mountain to explode, and suddenly cause great destruction.

Glaciers melting and Oceans rising are a gradual thing. Scientist say this has happened in the past.  Think of how the flood must have affected the climate.  So, it’s not like the small climate change is a disaster that hits all at once, and causes great destruction..... It will create problems over many years if it goes unchecked...that is true.

What happens when the oceans rise a couple feet over a period of time? People  who live smack on the coast will have to move.  I guess that would be a “Catastrophe” for them. :shrugs:

However, That little German teenager girl who spoke at the UN acted like climate change was going to wipe us out any minute now. Way too much  hype and politics have been injected  into this issue, and thats why they make it seem like it’s an immediate clear and present danger.   :ecstatic:

Greater Storms? I know from the topic on earthquakes....Some here feel that Jesus mention of greater earthquakes could  probably apply to many other natural events that have seemed to intensify in our environment today.....like storms.  Some say storms have they increased in intensity or are more people and properties just affected by them?

Perhaps this is true......people adjust and deal with it.  But it seems the panic and urgency is being over played.

One thing is for sure. Man is ruining the earth and he will be brought to ruin.

"If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem." (tu)

Before this cop 26

the religious leaders have also gathered

this is what they have came up to:

“This is the first time a partnership of this scale and global scope has been brought together," Palmer said. "It is indicative of the urgency of the challenge we face."

The program looks to utilize the financial and property assets, resources and influence that faith groups possess as a more forceful tool in the global response to climate change and environmental degradation. Specifically, it asks for participating houses of worship to develop an action plan to be implemented over the next seven to 10 years.”

Eph. 3:20 “Now to the one who can, according to his power that is operating in us, do more than superabundantly beyond all the things we ask or conceive”

Good way to pull in more money from the flock.  Some are sincere, some see it as a way to get money and some have made millions of dollars flying their private jets around the world to give speeches about the evils of fossil fuel emissions...
