Question: Construction Experiences

I was watching the January 2018 Broadcast, and it had a 'Inside Story' about Headquarters Construction. There was a lot of talk about how worldly people (Inspectors and such) were in disbelief about what they saw on JW Sites.

 

If anyone here has experiences to share, I'd love to hear them.

 

(Also, there's a point at the 28 minute mark, talking about the Main Power Conduit. Apparently, the way they took care of that was a huge deal, but I'm not a builder/engineer, so I don't really follow. Why was this moment particularly remarkable?)

In addition to what Thomas Walker has mentioned:  There is the story that the GB were inclined to hire a construction company to build world headquarters. But the GB had a condition; the company hired had to give assurances that there would be no injury accidents to anyone on the build.  A condition no worldly company could guarantee. 

 

Consequently, the decision to build it ourselves was made.  Truth or Myth?

Probably a myth. Even 100% JWs working such a job cannot guarantee 100% zero injury accidents.

 

Besides, it's known that the Org has subcontracted certain projects to non- Witness companies because of their expertise, equipment, etc.
