I've been keeping an eye out on a couple of court cases. The one involving the tiktok ban has my interests peaked. They're saying it's because the app allows people to say things that sow doubt in the government or make it easy to still data from its users.

Could that also lead to other sites they feel leaks misinformation or doesn't speak all positive about the government being banned? I wonder if it could eventually include other sites such as the news channels or even JW, since we look to God's government.

Interesting thought.

Dance. Even if there's no music.

Remember Russia? And why it banned JW.org?

https://www.jw.org/en/news/region/russia/bans-jw-org-website-blocked/

If the US decides to go that route, especially during GT, that will just be another weapon they would use to attack our faith.

I could definitely see this happening during the attack of Gog of Magog. At that time, all bets will be off.

Adding a point

Leviticus 19:18: “‘You must not take vengeance nor hold a grudge against the sons of your people, and you must love your fellow man as yourself.”

Here's the trouble with looking at current events and trying to see if they fit the bigger picture of what leads to the Great Tribulation: things can make a 180 turn within seconds in this current political environment. The world governments and the UN could be on one track, and then, in a few years, make a sudden change that will astonish everyone who sees it.
I mean, when the governments submit their authority to the UN for the sake of the UN destroying false religion, they're going to be doing the thing Jehovah wants them to do. Do you think that's what Satan, the current ruler and influencer of political affairs wants? No. He'll do everything in his power and influence world events in such a way as to prevent Jehovah from imposing his will upon world leaders. He could very well be trying to prevent Revelation 17 from being fulfilled with events he's influencing right now, so when it happens, it should be a sudden change from the course the world is currently on.

Id have a hard time imagining anything working during the great tribulation.  If it’s gonna be the worst things this planet has seen how would the internet electricity be working? Who gonna show up to do their job in that time of trouble?

That is an extremely important point. The scene of this world, indeed, is constantly changing. We know we will go thru hardship, not necessarily what form it takes, but it is coming.

Your guess is as good as mine. There are like a hundred million different scenarios we could imagine. The important thing is, however, is Jehovah will help get us through whatever we have to face.

Speaking of that, the yearbooks described how the friends improvised under extremely difficult circumstances, some of which would be worthy of a MacGyver novel, imo. Interesting to imagine what we’d come up with to cope with loss of basic utilities.

We came up with Zoom during COVID…😁

Leviticus 19:18: “‘You must not take vengeance nor hold a grudge against the sons of your people, and you must love your fellow man as yourself.”

Since all the governments have to form a coalition to 1) hunt down Witnesses and 2) to fight Jesus, it would seem necessary to have basic systems still operational.

You may worry about these while I have one thing to worry about and I guess you and others know. Or do I have to mention chocolate?

I used to think that your username, Dustparticle, showed your humility. Now I realize that it is just a shortened version of Chocolate Dust Particle. :lol1:

Now THAT ain’t gonna be much of no fight…lol

An army of extremely powerful, mighty spirit creatures, vs puny humans who can’t see or touch them…no contest whatsoever.

They will be steamrollered as easily as one vacuums up one’s carpet.

But they certainly will be after God’s people. They have quite a formidable arsenal to try and get that done. But then I’m reminded of Jehovah taking the wheels off Pharaoh’s chariots :whistling:

We are so used to these terrorist attacks that we feel like we have become professionals.

Not sure I understand the term "professionals" used in the sentence.  Do you mean we have become so accustomed (or used to) these things happening?

I understood what Sister Fa meant, and I believe she was pointing out that these terrorist attacks have become more and more commonplace in recent years.

She had made that comment in response to a reference I had made about several ISIS-inspired attacks in France that happened around 10 years ago, like the one that happened in Nice where a guy plowed thru crowds celebrating Bastille Day.

Let’s face facts, as world conditions grow worse, we have become less and less surprised at the depravity of Satan’s world.

And we know that it will CONTINUE to get worse. Heck, we ain’t seen nothing yet.

Even more important than ever before for God’s Kingdom to step in…

On the other hand, we do have to be careful about gradualism, we have to remain sensitive to world conditions and the time we live in.

To end this post, here is an awesome talk by Brother Malenfant about this matter; I have listened to it numerous times over the years:

Yes, Brother Dan @Desert Dan. No attack surprises me anymore. We have been under reinforced surveillance for years, the Vigipirate plan is activated at its highest level, which mobilizes and exhausts the police. The country has suffered so many terrorist traumas that now, any malicious act is suspected of being a terrorist act by the media and the political class.
