No, but they made it so they could protect some area, but covering the whole country isn't possible. Israel is extremely tiny, it's not complicated to make a "dome" for it.

Being very unaquainted with American semantics... if there was a primary target, where would it be? Washington DC? Or somewhere else?

Just trying to think back to 9/11 ... the Pentagon etc. I guess that's where the most protection will be? Maybe?

Depends on how many warheads are on the ICBM or SLBM. Most carry a minimum of 4 or a max of 15 if they're Russian. So 4-15 cities, silos, nuclear sites, etc.

Yeah, must admit, here in regional NSW, Australia, I feel insulated from the physical devastation of a global outbreak of war, in the sense of being bombed or shelled or having armed troops marching through the streets.

That's the US advantage - how far away they are from nations who might attack. There is a lot of time to see missiles coming.

So it would make military sense to do a surprise attack on an overseas territory of the US or one of their allies?

whatever happens at some point there is going to be a cry of peace and security... because Satan has all these religions and governments focused on Isreal as still being chosen... the big cry of peace and security will happen when these middle eastern wars will stop the bloodshed. then the UN may cry Peace and Security

Yes. This is a given, but I think the point I'm making is until Rev 17:17 occurs ... no-one is safe. Lil Ole NZ sitting snuggly in the South Pacific, but Oceania contains overseas territories of the US, and Australia is an Ally of US, so while we are under the influence of this old system, we should all be aware of events happening around us, without letting them get us overly anxious. The brothers haven't ruled out the beginnings of a nuclear conflict. 

 

Watching and reading experiences coming out of War torn countries of our brothers and sisters are invaluable for us all right now.

 

However, on the positive, Jehovah’s day is just getting nearer and nearer.
