And in the decades before 1914, Germany grew rich, becoming the second-largest economy in the world. Then, in fulfillment of Daniel 11:29 and the first part of verse 30, Germany fought with the king of the south but was defeated.

Regarding the discussion prophecies in this Watchtower have a good reminder:

As it is the word of Jehova, we can expect that even if some verses refeers to a specific event (11:27), still jehova have written down the  description of the heart conditions of the north and south kings.
We can expect verses to show the behaviours (like this) to be adaptable over and over again even if it is not a prophecy over a specific event.

like when reading in proverbs over a ”wicked” person… so, you can actually find nice Gems through out daniel chap 11 on behaviours that we will see over and over again regarding the kings ways of acting.
