France also is in full election talk for 2027, it's a mess. I'm a bit relaxed because I'm no longer living there but all the news are about politics, phewww... we get the food at the proper time with all the neutrality articles

We're also in election talk here in Hawaii, since we have gubernatorial elections on November 3rd, though being neutral allows me to not worry about who's gonna win.

A brother once said, “If you live on planet Earth, you live in a bad neighborhood.” These days, it feels like the whole neighborhood has gone up in flames. It really makes you think about how close we are to the end of this system and how important it is to stay spiritually awake. I love seeing how all of you are doing that!

Sis Vickie - I smile at your posing - it reminds me of a old song....The world is a ghetto!!!  a 1972 song...things are. truly heating up!  Striving to stay strong and continually pray for courage!!!

I'm curious, is this the song? 😅

To raczej kwestia dotycząca uczniów szkół średnich, jestem pewien, że rodziny zostawiłyby swoje dzieci w domu.

Strajki we wrześniu nie są niczym niezwykłym.

85% of the protesters detained in France are minors under the age of 18.
The young who set fire to the woman after she told them not to vandalize the bus stop was 15 and a half years old.

is all of this france/paris unrest true our french brothers and sisters? or anyone with family back home?

Yes, that’s true, Brother Mike. But the high school student movement has been co-opted politically, and the presidential elections in a few months promise to stir up a lot of trouble—in fact, that’s already happening. So the rioters aren’t necessarily high school students. Organized groups are taking advantage of the unrest to escalate the violence. As @Dagessaid, strikes are in the French DNA, but we have to admit that the violence is becoming increasingly striking and involving younger and younger people.

More disasters to come with this Super El Nino.  More droughts...poor farming...less food...one thing effects another. Waiting for more power outages as the electrical demand for energy on the grid becomes higher. That's why I got a little solar battery bank. Free energy from the sun! :)

Here is a good video about the Super El Nino.

We’re very worried here in Brazil. It’s going to be a huge challenge. Summer hasn’t arrived yet, but it looks like it’s going to be a very harsh one.

I understand, a brother and his wife sold everything in Oregon and went to Brazil, I'm very concerned about them.

The amount of water falling on our planet lately has been unbelievable and you folks are in right in the line of fire. Keep us informed ok?

Thank you so much for your concern. We trust that Jehovah will take care of us and that everything will be alright here in Brazil. We’ll keep you all informed.

@Dages what do you think about what’s happening in Japan? They classified teaching about divine judgment to children as psychological abuse

I would love to see a genuine source for this?

Facebook is not a source.

Social media is not a source.

Now, if a legit news article is posted on social media, that article is the source.

Phillipians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste, whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well-spoken-of, whatever things are virtuous, and whatever things are praiseworthy, continue considering these things.

All I’ve found are social media posts, but nothing from news media. If there is a better source, please share!

Best I could find from 2022

The draft guidelines clearly stipulate that basically even if the guardian or the child has a religious or some other kind of belief, the matter should be treated in the same way as a normal abuse case.

Examples of physical abuse include slapping or whipping a child to force them to participate in religious activities. Psychological abuse includes threats such as saying "you're going to hell" to prevent children from choosing their own career paths, employment, relationships and marriages, as well as implanting strong fear by referring to their friends and teachers as enemies. Other behavior, such as not allowing the child to receive necessary medical treatment including blood transfusions, are mentioned as well

TOKYO – Around 20 followers of the Jehovah’s Witnesses religious group have filed a lawsuit against the Japanese government, seeking to invalidate its guidelines on the abuse of children born to parents devoted to a particular religion.

I don’t know the media in Japan so I’m not sure how reliable the source is. If we have Japanese friends here, please chime in.

🙏 Thank you! 🙏
