Im still not sure if I like it or not. I use Dark Mode as a system default so a lot of my stuff is in dark mode but i am still not sure if I will keep JWL in dark mode or not..😁

Sometimes I research in the dark, will be nice not to be blinded from screen glare. May not use it all the time, but so happy that the option is now there.

It is the answer to my prayers.  The white background in normal view causes the screen to "gray-out" to me.  Everything gets foggy and the print is too light to read.  In whatever device I am using, I found some kind of color-inversion  feature to work.  Depending on the device, however, mostly the pictures were negative and the highlighting was muted in the inversion.

 

Now I can get the dark background, the sharp contrast, the correct picture color and the highlight works.

 

I discovered yesterday that the songbook does not darken.  I think the "dark-mode" feature is treating the songbook pages as a photo (or a picture) and so leaves them in bright white.  It does thin in the song selection from the meeting as well as just looking at the songbook in the library.  I can live with this by just hitting the key-combo t o "invert colors" again for that one item...❤️

I think, if your songbook screen has extra stuff like musical notes (as it does in the paper book version) it is considered as a picture, (because it is) so the picture stays same and will not be darnkened.

 

There is a quite easy way to fix this if you do not care about musical notes. Simply click “digital version” from the three-dots menu (…) that appears after clicking on a song. I prefer this method more, because the text size becomes easier to control.
