The Anagram Game

Greenfield

Recommended Posts

This is a game of changing words into other words. This is like the forum's Four Letter Word Game but much more intricate.

You may rearrange the existing letters of the last word however you like, but in addition to that you may do only one of the following on your turn:

1. Add one new letter.

2. Replace one letter with another.

3. Remove one letter.

4. Rearrange letters and do nothing else.

Acronyms and proper nouns are acceptable.

07/11/12 edit: A short phrase is also acceptable. see: http://www.jwtalk.net/forum/read.php?48,103211,116958#msg-116958

Example of proper play:

Oregon

[proper noun acceptable]

Oregano

['o' moved to end, 'a' added]

Orange

[letters rearranged, 'o' removed]

Rango

[letters rearranged, 'e' removed, proper noun acceptable]

Groan

[letters rearranged, all letters same]

First word:

Game

I know, the rules are confusing. Musket is not valid as it takes away a letter AND changes one into another, but you can only do one of those per turn.

You Bet Its all double dutch. I'm blonde.:whistling::perplexed:

"It's a known fact that eighty decibels of rushing water is one of the most pleasing sounds known to mankind. On other hand, ten and a half days at sea is enough water for anybody."
