'In an awe-inspiring way I am wonderfully made'

Recommended Posts

I love looking at the physiology of the human body. I'm awe struck by the complexity of the various components that make up a person. I also get so thrilled when I listened to the specialists talking about the damage to the musculature due to the  myriads of injuries that I have incurred due to my carelessness. I wished I could have taken more care when it is such an intricated masterpiece.

I don't think I have done much damage to my feet yet but my knees, that is another story. Seems I'm more prone to falls with each successive day.

Daydream -

Scientists have discovered that daydreaming is an important tool for creativity. It causes a rush of activity in a circuit, which connects different parts of the brain and allows the mind to make new associations.

I know what you mean.    In August of 2020,  I slipped while bringing my dog back into my apartment.  I did the splits and shattered my greater trochanter in my right leg. Let's just say that I'm filled with titanium, nails and screws in my right leg.    I'm still not 100% but I can walk now.     It was a rough few months.

I spent 10 days in the hospital and this was just 2 weeks after I'd moved to a new city.   It was pretty rough.

A meningioma is a tumor that arises from the meninges — the membranes that surround the brain and spinal cord. Although not technically a brain tumor, it is included in this category because it may compress or squeeze the adjacent brain, nerves and vessels. Meningioma is the most common type of tumor that forms in the head.

Meninges

Three layers of membranes known as meninges protect the brain and spinal cord. The delicate inner layer is the pia mater. The middle layer is the arachnoid, a web-like structure filled with fluid that cushions the brain. The tough outer layer is called the dura mater.

I need to have mine removed.  I just hate the idea of surgery again.  Plus,  I'll have to be in the hospital for days.   Just not something that I want to do right now.
