JW Library can't update anymore (Windows)

Hey,

I have problems updating my JW Library app on Windows. With everything I do, it says "No Internet Connection" so I can not update the app, nor the publications in the app, unless I manually download them and install them manually from the Explorer.

 

I checked the following:

JW Library app:
Version: 12.5.78 (135122)

Free space: 249GB of 465GB

Offline: No

 

Computer/Windows

Processor:    Intel(R) Celeron(R) 2957U @ 1.40GHz   1.40 GHz
Installed RAM    4,00 GB
System type    64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

 

Windows: Windows 10 Home
Version    22H2
Last updated:   ‎18-‎10-‎2023
Operating system build    19045.3570

I have no clue what to look for as everything else works normal.

I write this on the same computer, I can download the files from jw.org in the browser, and manually install them in the app. So I do have internet.

Other apps are working normally as well.

Question 1 - does your internet connection work on everything else (like JW.ORG or ebay)?

I think that is part of the problem. Ensure you have updated the app.

 

I have version 14.1.39 (332263)

It seems the Microsoft Store App isn't working anymore. Hence it does not update the app. I rarely use the store... Strange though. It keeps circling 0% 😕 

 

 

Luckily jw.org provides an installer, so now I have "Version: 14.1.39 (332263)"

I cheered to early

This app package is not signed with a trusted certificate. Contact your system administrator or app developer to get a new certificate or app bundle with trusted certificates. The root certificate and all instant certificates must be trusted for the signature in the app package (0x800B010A)

Grrr.

I'm sorry that I can't help. However I hope you fix the problem with the Microsoft Store first.

Google how to check if the certificate is expired.  In my line if work, I've run into that problem.  Certificate is close to expiring and it doesn't get renewed for some reason.  Then you get that error

Many congregations including ours use it to play songs on the TV and cast videos and pictures.  It works really well on the computer
