Which means in 1 billion years from now, its distance from Earth will be reduced 10% and we'll lose all the positive effects of Moon being near us.

It's my serious concern nowadays.

Actually I haven't gotten completely awake yet.  When I looked at the calculations again I was way off.  When I get awake I may try again. Or, maybe not.

Asteroids often travel between the Earth and the Moon.  A large asteroid traveling inside the Moon's orbit would create a gravitational effect between the Moon and the asteroid.  This might slow down or stop the movement of the Moon away from the Earth.
