Do you have a landline phone

Recommended Posts

In the wake of millions losing their cell service for hours, some have suggested getting a landline phone.

Our Kingdom Hall uses a VoIP phone system that goes down when there is no Internet.

In our area you can get a landline for $50 a month. We have not had a landline phone in over 15 years. We probably won't go back to one.

Does your kingdom hall use a VoIP or standard landline? Do you have a landline? How would you communicate with those in your area with no cell or Internet?

"Trouble and distress have come upon me, but your commands give me delight"-Psalms 119:143 NIV Translation.

We do not have a landline. We dropped it many years ago. The area we are in we have a small phone company and the landline service is not the best and they only have DSL Internet.

Unfortunately, that is the same phone company we have at the KH so our Internet at the KH is not the best.

Comcast/Xfinity was supposed to expand their service to the area where the KH is but, COVID put that on hold and there is no word as to when they may install the service.

For a second, I thought you was talking about a Land mine. I need to lay off some of that chocolate.

We did until we sold our home and started renting.

I had it for the alarm system at the house.

I still have and use a landline. I also have a cell phone that I use sometimes and like to have it when I'm out and about. At present, we have Xfinity for our internet and up until this month it was 65$ a month, they jacked the price up to 122$ a month..I think they are beginning to panic because up until now they had the monopoly on cable and internet but there's a couple of new companies that are offering fiber optic internet at a much lower price. I gotta tell you, Xfinity is not the most honest company to deal with here. We're calling Monday to switch.
