George, a Brother in the congregation was preparing a meal for a gathering of friends at his home, but he forgot a very important item he needed and was very stressed over the situation he faced.

George began to sweat as he thought, “How can I serve pasta salad with no pasta?”

He decided to Google homemade pasta and ended up watching so many YouTube videos on the subject he lost an entire day.

His friends knocked on his door promptly at 5 o'clock. However, George never made the pasta salad... Or any other food for that matter!

Just cleaned up a typo

George settled his friends in the lounge with a drink and rushed to see what was in his cupboard...he had anchovies, tinned tomato, mayonnaise, flour and cocktail cherries.

In his fridge he found some shredded mozzarella and some sliced pepperoni that he could combine with the tinned tomatoes and flour to make pizzas.

Noticed only one sentence rule

To his dismay, he discovered the tinned tomato cans were swelled due to age, the anchovies smelled off and the mozzarella was moldy.

It was at this point that his mobile rang, and he heard the dulcet tones of his mother, recognising that there was an emergency at hand.

His mother, Eunice, being an industrious woman, had made a lasagna just that afternoon; but unfortunately she had no transportation.

Bob, one of George's guests, offered to go pick up the lasagna on his e-bike.

When Bob and George approached the bike, the battery scale showed - battery low. Bob apologized and left. Suddenly George got a phone call at this time and a voice said: "The goods are here. Meet me at the bridge. To be recognized, I'll be holding the Watchtower magazine of April 15, 1977."

George did not recognize the voice on the phone and the caller didn't explain what "goods" were there.

Prudent, George preferred to ignore the call but the problem was still there: without pasta salad, without lasagna, how to offer hospitality to his friends who all came from Italy ?

Unable handle his problems he threw himself off the cliff.

Little did he know there was a shallow shelf below the cliff edge which, when he landed on it, he rolled into a dimly lit cave he never knew existed.

In this cave with multiple cavities George found it strange to find himself there while his friends were waiting for him for dinner, especially since his last memory was that an elderly man had pushed him into the void, but why, ?

Just then George startled awake; the fumes from the moldy cheese must have caused an hallucination.

A frantic check of his home proved that he was, indeed, alone and that it was all a dream while also realizing he had lost his appetite for pasta.

The dream, however, turned into a nightmare, when there was an emergency announcement on the news channel.

The information said: 'As of today, all pasta, from spaghetti to pizza, is banned nationwide due to a serious diplomatic crisis with Italy,' and George immediately wondered how he was going to break the news to his grandmother Gina Tortellini.

He didn't have long to ponder, as he heard his phone ringing from the countertop.

It was his grandmother.

It was then that his grandmother told him not to worry, she had seen this coming, and she had stashed enough flour, and eggs in the basement to make pasta for many years.

This was a great idea until she noticed the flour had a chance of becoming moldy from a damp basement so she had to ask her grandson to find a dry secretive place to store the makings.

What more secure place than the basements of the White House for any food stock, but should we ask ourselves the question, when we are Christians, of the neutrality of flour?
