Adolf Hitler's rise to power

Many years ago, I visited the Holocaust Museum, it had a timeline of Hitlers rise to power. At the time I thought that Hitler was just being used as a face for the people behind him, however this article explains what Hitler did to become Chancellor and what he did afterwards. Fascinating history.

Yep. These should be interesting days. For years, every time a new leader came in, in this country, i wondered how they would handle Armageddon.
Jehovah does not take to arrogance. And he does things with class.
Time will tell.
In the meantime, i just try to astetuly avoid the details.
And pray for Jehovah to help me remain neutral.

In the meantime, these things, “must take place”.

We read that book in high school for my English class. One of my teachers served in the war during Hitler's times

And wept when it was all done

How is a wiki article or a past vacation News or Current Events?

Phillipians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste, whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well-spoken-of, whatever things are virtuous, and whatever things are praiseworthy, continue considering these things.

True. It's a good reminder that no matter how bad the future looks, we know how it will turn out.

Notice that these events came about after a war (WWII), pestilence (Spanish Flu), and economic depression (1923 Hyperinflation crisis, along with The Great Depression).

Many in Germany were still bitter about having lost WWI, then they had to deal with hyperinflation in 1923. Things settled down for a while, then the Depression struck.

The Germans looked for scapegoats to blame their suffering, and Hitler was a master at stoking their fear and hatred through his speeches. People were ripe for his rhetoric, including certain politicians and military officials willing to take his side, and by means of these he was able to come to power.

He intended for the Third Reich to last 1,000 years, but it only lasted about 12. It shows that no human endeavors, regardless of how mighty, ever last forever. And the end for all these rulers are all the same.

Key Scripture: Ecclesiastes 8:10

And I saw the wicked being buried, those who used to go in and out of the holy place, but they were soon forgotten in the city where they acted that way. This too is futility.”

Here is an interesting article from the 70s that talks more about the matter in detail:

Exactly. Even if history appears to be repeating itself, we know how it will turn out.
