Oh That's Bad, Oh That's Good - Story Game

Recommended Posts

Every reply has an opposite outcome. For instance if I write a sentence (That's bad) I fell off the roof and landed on the ground. The next person could respond (that's good) you landed in some hay and was safe then the next person writes (that's bad) and can respond with a bad outcome and so on. I can start it off. The first sentence will be (That's good), I found $50 while walking.

That’s bad… because the lieutenant likes you so much that he decides you’re the perfect person to star in the department’s new “Community Hero” campaign.

Before you know it, you’re standing in front of a green screen, wearing an oversized police hat, holding a fake baton, and posing with a cardboard cutout of a German Shepherd — all while a service group in the ministry drives by, slows down, and just stares.

That's good...because you'll have a chance to inspire people with your acting skills.

That's bad, the police in the next town are still looking for you.

That's good...they aren't trying to arrest you, they want to share their donuts.

That's bad. You own the only powdered sugar company in the area and you just went out of business.

Oh, that's good. . . because everyone wants/needs to go on a diet, anyway.

That's bad, the police dogs are trained to sniff out powdered sugar for their demonstrations, they find the officer every time. Now they need to retrain the dogs.

That's good...they can train the dogs to sniff for cookies, instead.

True story,

The oil refinery I worked at hired a new security firm after 9/11. The head of security was an ex-FBI guy, and he wanted to do some drills to impress everyone, so he had his team use a dog to find one of his guys that was hiding on one of our wharfs. In the Operations meeting the next day I mentioned it wasn't a real test; the dog was trained to sniff powdered sugar.

I found out the ex-FBI guy didn't have a sense of humor. :lol1:

That's bad ... because if the cookies have cinnamon or ginger in them, they can ruin the dog's sense of smell

That’s good… because now the dogs will get promoted to the bakery division, where they get paid in cookies instead of cash — and nobody complains because they still work cheaper than the vending machines!

That's bad because, if they pay the dogs, the vending machines may not get fixed when they break due to lack of money

That's bad, cops will start eating donuts again and get fat.

Oh, that's good, because they will never be able to catch me on foot.
