The Universe Is Vast—But What If You’re the Point?

Jehovah created billions of galaxies—each with billions of stars.

And yet… He gave us one moon.

 

He scattered stars so numerous Abraham couldn’t count them,

but asked him to try anyway.

 

He designed the human brain with more connections than there are stars in the sky—

and still tells us to make our minds over.

 

He gave us time, only to remind us to number our days.

 

It’s easy to feel small in a world that’s this big.

But maybe Jehovah never intended to impress us with scale.

 

Maybe His real purpose was to show how much value He places in the individual.

 

Not the galaxies—

you.

 

Not the billions—

your one life.

 

“He counts the number of the stars; He calls all of them by name.”

—Psalm 147:4

 

If He knows the stars by name,

what does that say about how well He knows yours?

The vastness overwhelms me (in a good way), reminding me of Jehovah’s great power and mathematical and scientific brilliance. He is truly awe inspiring. It’s so good to be reminded Jehovah is not an impressive impersonal super being, but knowing him the way we do when we study his word, he is love and all that that entails.
