What is the meaning behind the naked man pictured on the front cover of The Golden Age magazines?

"Golden Age" language would be linked with Edenic era. I'd say it's Adam in his perfect state, looking at the sun rise.

While I do not know any specifics as to this cover, I do know that in the  early 20th century the nude form was not seen as something naughty like it is today. 

 

In one of the Studies in the Scriptures (I think) Eve is depicted with bare breasts.

The first page of the new magazine had a 'heroic' style poem.  I have included the poem as well as the comments of the publisher.

 

“Beyond the time of trouble by the eye of faith they see the Golden Age of the glorious reign of the Messiah. . . . They count it as their chief duty and privilege to announce to the world the coming of the Golden Age. It is part of their God-given commission.”
