Ipad Air 4th Generation, problems with JW Library

For the past few weeks, I have been experiencing increasing problems when using JW Library.

Videos sometimes get stuck. When I read the Gospels, the Jesus video

when I click on them, it sometimes takes quite a long time for them to play. Today I had the

effect whereby the image froze during video playback, but the sound continued to play.

When I paused the video for 1 minute, both continued playing from the point where the sound was.

I also had display problems with other publications.

 

I just wanted to hear if others with the same hardware (and the latest updates, of course)

have the same problems?

What version of IOS are you using?

Strange to have those problems, Ruben, I have iPad Air 2 and iPad Air 6 and they both play without any clear problems. They have different IOS levels but still seem to be ok.

is your iPad Wi-Fi only or does it have cellular?

 

Are you trying to stream at 1080p and your Internet connection can’t keep up?

 

 

Try changing the quality to 480p and see if it improves

Wi-Fi only. 

I have a 100 Mbit/s internet connection. That should be enough for a 1080p stream. But I'll try streaming at a lower resolution.

Another strange behavior of JW Library:

I am in the "Meetings" section and have opened the book for the Congregation Bible Study in the workbook (it could also be another publication). 
If I then swipe to my web browser to search for something and then swipe back to JW Library, I briefly see the open book and then JW Library jumps to the home page without me doing anything. This has also been happening more frequently for some time now.

On my PC running Window 10 ... If I have the JWL open and go to the meeting tab and select the MWM and then select the Bible icon, it will jump to the Bible and then, if I click the meeting icon again it goes back to where I was in the MWM.

 

If I open the CBS publication in the JWM MWM and go to the Bible icon and back, the study lesson is still open right where it was

 

Mind you, I am not on iOS ... just wanted to let you compare how it is working in Windows to what you are experiencing since the Branch did design the JWL as a Windows app

I have an Ipad Pro A1701 from 2017 and I can't duplicate any of the problems you describe.  My newer Ipad Mini is using IOS26+ and is working fine also.  Between my wife and I there are 6 Ipad / Iphone devices we use.  All are OK.  Sorry I can't help.
