Friends have been sending me the same reel of the jw pressroom new social media account (Instagram and apparently TikTok). I was looking for some mention on jw.org but the account seems legit based on the followers being some in the video/reel. 

 

Do you think this will be a new way to engage with the public?

You assume this is legitimate and from the Organization.

I haven’t heard about this either, but we do have a clue to determine if it’s legit or not.

 

Spoiler

The B-roll clips in the video feature never-before-seen footage that would be impossible to recreate unless you were working in Bethel.

 

We’ll have to wait for an announcement, but since it’s the end of the month and the next Broadcasting along with the congregation’s Announcements and Reminders is coming up this Monday, there might be some releases on the way.

It is legit. Elders would have seen it in their June S-147 which came earlier than expected. Lol.

Would you share more info? For example, under what account in IG? And ... how do we know it is legit? Curious minds want to know ... 😁 Oh, just noticed, it was in a letter June S-147. Probably will be read soon?

I heard they are official Social Media accounts. As a pilot program, the organization has established official social media accounts on Instagram and TikTok under the name JW Pressroom. All materials will be posted only in English. The material on these platforms is specifically designed for a secular audience—government officials, journalists, and researchers. Publishers can continue to rely on JW Broadcasting and the “News” section of jw.org for encouraging updates on our activities.
