ITV has shown off its stunning rooftop World Cup studio overlooking New York, a day after the BBC unveiled its own base for the tournament in Salford.

The British commercial broadcaster’s Brooklyn base made its debut during England’s final warm-up friendly against Costa Rica on Wednesday night, with Roy Keane and Ian Wright joining presenter Mark Pougatch.

The studio has a backdrop of the Manhattan skyline and will serve as ITV’s home for the duration of the 5½-week tournament, which ends at New York’s MetLife Stadium on July 19.

Telegraph Sport can reveal that it is located at Panorama Brooklyn Studios on the site of the Columbia Heights Watchtower complex, the former five-building Jehovah’s Witness global headquarters.
